Space in front required for kipping pull ups

Hi,

I'm thinking of getting a wall mounted pull up bar and have found one that is 50cm away from the wall. It's that enough room for effective kipping pull ups our should I keep looking?

How much space do I ideally need?

Thanks

I'll have my wife mark the point to which I extend during a kipping pullup tomorrow. 50cm is only like 19.6" if my math is right, that won't leave you much room if your form begins to suffer (and may not be enough room even with good form).

19 inches is quite short for what you may want it for. I have the P4 from Rogue. It is 32 inches from the wall and I have never had an issue. hope this helps!

Oh relax. If I wanted a medal, I'd ask for one.
