collar bone clean damage

Allright. I'm an idiot. I know my way around a power clean but I haven't been doing them very often for the last 2 months. I tried yesterday's wod with 135. On the fifth and final round I guess my form got sloppy.

I got a little rock at the the bottom of my hang clean which pushed the bar too far away. The bar arched in at the top, my catch was all wrong and it caught me right in the sternum end of my collar bone.

It hurt, rubbed it out, walked it off and did another one (since it was my last set), with the same result.

It's not broken, just rattled and most likely bruised. I've been icing it and my mobility isn't affected.

Has anyone else had something like this happen?

numerous times.

You were fatigued and didn't catch the bar cleanly - pardon the pun.

lost count how many times in 20yrs of o-lifting. Sometimes timing is just a little off, no big deal.
If it's sore - ice it. If it's torn - tape it. If it's heavy - lift it!
