I completely agree. I just love the feeling I get that time of year.

Re: Vanessa's1st CrossFit Journal

Three rounds, 21-15- and 9 reps, for time of:
95 pound Squat snatch
Chest to bar Pull-ups

Time: Didn't time it. I needed a mental break from that today. I just wanted to do this workout. So I did.

Used 68 lbs for the snatches but did power snatches. I haven't really snatched in about a month and I wasn't real sure I could do that many snatches at all so I feel good about that.

My pullups were on today. I'm learning to take my time, make sure my chest is getting up to the bar, and using lots of chalk. They're really getting better.

Re: Vanessa's1st CrossFit Journal

Nice work. That workout was just rough. Getting through it was a feat in itself. I had never done snatch squats in a workout, and never with any weight. It was interesting.

I'm proud! Mental breaks are a NECESSITY.

Snatches are a cool move and, and and... yay for your pull ups

Good job, Vanessa!
I judged that event (and the DL/DU event) at the Mid-Atlantic Qualifier last weekend, and the effort put out by the competitors was amazing!

I know the WOD is tough -- we had TONS of DNFs (15 minute limit). Usually, it was the C2B pull ups that killed people.
