Concept 2 Model C

I may be able to get a Model C rower with PM2 Monitor for $550. I know it's an older model, but is it a good deal at that price?

I'm not in a big rush, my only timetable is to get a rower before winter when running is hit or miss with the snowfall.

Probably a very average price in any area of the contry.
A new model D shipping is close to 900-1000.

I was watching model C's go for 700-850 at Christmas time in the Los Angeles area.

Re: Concept 2 Model C

You should be able to get a Model C with PM2 for $400 or less.

Re: Concept 2 Model C

If you could get it for $450 - $500 than it would be a pretty good price but not killer. Make sure the monitor works and that there is no corrosion on the circuit board under the double A batteries. Also make sure they are covering shipping charges or you can pick it up. - Greg

Re: Concept 2 Model C

I'm going to keep my eye on it, if it doesn't move I may offer $400 for it. Pickup is only about 20 miles from my house.

Thanks for all the tips...

Hi Greg, I'm looking to pick up a model C for $200. At that price i probably shouldn't even hesitate. But at a minimum what else, if anything, in addition to what you've mentioned above should i look for before sealing the deal? Thank you for your support!

Re: Concept 2 Model C

Nothing at $200 you could still buy any replacement part needed and be below average in the total cost to own a used model C.

Oh man grab it! Except for the monitor we can fix anything pretty cheap. Sounds like a CF dream. If you get to it and anything seems funky just call me and I can talk you through it. - Greg

Re: Concept 2 Model C

I just bought a used Model C for $450.00 locally off Craigs List. I was getting ready to break down and order a new D when this popped up. The thing only has 140 km on it! The Model C in the gym at work has 13,000, gets beat on daily (for the 7 years that I've been there, anyway)and still works like a champ; it's barely broken in!

I don't think you can go wrong with the deal so close to home, the real question is do you have to have the latest model Monitor? Because the rower itself is essentially the same so long as it's mechanically sound and it looks like you have the backing of a high integrity supplier.
