2 weeks down...fist pump!

I thought i was fit....WRONG!
I just joined a crossfit gym that is really new and has around 9-10 members. So far I am addicted and motivated. I have been to 7 workouts and feel like I am already improving but.....I need to sleep more! Does anyone have any advice on changing sleeping habits? I feel I can't wind down till 10 or so and go to bed around 1:30. SUX! I need more sleep but ever since Crossfit I can't sleep early anymore.

I started a blog about my journey filled with pain and prayers HA let's see how I progress by the end of the year

www.fitxfiles.blogspot.com

Feel free to correct my form, post crossfit links or motivate me!!!!

Crossfit 4 life... Hopefully see u at sectionals! 7.5 months?

Couple things I do/avoid that help me:

Don't work out too late at night, your heart rate will fluctuate making it harder to fall asleep post workout.

Turn off the lights in your room/house.

Listen to music.

Avoid too much carbs/sugar

Wear fluffy comfortable flannel pajama pants

Take some calcium/magnesium or soak in a hot bath with epsom salts. Mmmmm...sleep inducing good times.

Re: 2 weeks down...fist pump!

I also had the same problem when it comes to sleeping I do the WOD 6.30 and don't get home til about 8ish then still have to eat and shower and winde down and I still have adrenalin pumping its just so tough to relax, but you just have to find something that works for you. I find long hot showers work for me and I come out feeling I'm on cloud 9!

Try Melatonin for sleep. I am absolutely notorious for my inability to keep a normal sleep schedule and it helped big time.
