European Crossfit Games Qualifier Page Updated!

Folks, the site for the Euro Qualifier has been updated.

http://crossfitnee.typepad.com/cross...qualifier.html (WFS)

After feedback from hopeful competitors we have arranged for online registration and payment. A link to the registration site will be provided on the Qualifier site in the early hours of Monday morning.

Cheers, kempie

Registered too, exciting !

I will most likely fly to Dublin, so I would like to know what kind of trains or buses can get me from Dublin to the affiliate area, I think it's Lurgan (I'll probably stay at the Ashburn hotel). Searched on the internet and can't seem to find something clear.

That would be a great help, thank you !

Re: European CrossFit Games Qualifier Page Updated!

Woke up at 3am to register,

call me paranoid but wanted to make sure I'm in.

I was thinking: I have absolutely no idea about the level of CrossFitters in Europe. What do you say we put up a thread where prospective competitors for Europe Games could post their PBs? It would be great to see what I'm up against in April.

Cheers,

Jami

Great idea Jami! In fact, if folks want to send me your info I'll post up a profile on the Qualifier page. I'll even throw a pic up too if you want.

Cheers, kempie (at hotmail.com)

Hey Richard, passed your question on to Jonny and Helz at CrossFit Northern Ireland and here is the info they gave me.

Cheers, kempie

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Express Bus from Airport to Belfast:

Called the Goldline, leaves from outside the airport every 20/30mins or so. It stops off in Banbridge. They need to get off at this stop and then take a taxi to Lurgan (around £10/12 or so). They could pre-book a cab from Anytime Taxi to pick them up in Banbridge (it’s common knowledge where the express stop is) and take them to Lurgan.

I think there may be another service called BusEireann that does the same journey. In any case there are plenty of staff outside the airport to direct people to the right bus.

If anyone stays on the bus right through to Belfast they’ll end up at Central station. This is the main bus & train terminus in NI. From here they can get an express train to Lurgan, or an express bus to Lurgan. Again there will be plenty of people to ask if stuck.

Train from Dublin Airport to Belfast/Portadown:

There’s a shuttle bus from the airport to the train station. Here there is an express train (called the Enterprise) which goes straight through to Belfast with a stop off at Portadown, unfortunately it doesn’t stop at Lurgan. From Portadown train station you can get a train to Lurgan (1 stop away). The Seagoe hotel (one of the hotels we’ve linked to) is in Portadown. There are also buses from Portadown town centre to Lurgan every 20min or so.

http://www.translink.co.uk/home.asp gives both bus & rail service times (but is bloody awful to understand)

Anytime Taxi (phone no on website) will also pick up at Dublin Airport – but this will cost a fortune!

Re: European CrossFit Games Qualifier Page Updated!

Thank you very much Kempie ! I'll find out about that Enterprise express train then

It'd be interesting indeed to see what kind of competition is going to the Game, it'll motivating to go harder in training !

Agreed, that would be very inspiring having everyones stats for the qualifier. How many entries has there been so far Kempie, did I waste my time getting up early on Monday morning?
