As I was watching the Olympics today on tv, I was thinking how cool it would be if CrossFit was an actual Olympic event. Just imagine...

Today's CrossFit events includes, "Fight Gone Bad," "Murph," and "Tabata Something Else."

Best time wins.

Okay back to reality. Since the chances of CrossFit becoming an Olympic event are slim to none (at least in my lifetime), how bout we have our own annual competition. Not only would it be a great oppportunity to meet one another, but it would be really fun.

What do ya think?

I cringe to imagine what the Crossfit decathlon would be like: Angie, Diane, Fran, Helen, Linda, Elizabeth, Grace, Fight Gone Bad, Tabata Something Else, and Karen.

Painstorm (a monthly competition between the UK folks and Brand X folks) is up to number XI (I think).

Have you looked at them? Seriously, I just shudder . . . better folk than I do them for time.

Search for "Painstorm" in the message board to see some of the past competitions.

Good idea, Steve. If Crossfit is the sport of fitness, it should have competitions, rules, winners, etc.

Coming soon to a CrossFit Virginia near you... Just this very thing. 10 events, teams can send their Cross-fittest to compete.

Details to come, but I'm on board to help out with this. (It's Dino of Team Ruthless' baby.) Securing a location and when those and other details are complete we'll let everyone know!
