Re: Atlas Stones in Milwaukee/Chicago Area

I got my stones from Justin yesterday. He brought them down from Milwaukee to Chicago and helped load them into my car.

They rock to say the least. The 175 will be a great challenge, more so because of its size than its gross weight. They are smooth and solid. If you are looking for stones in the area, I think PM'ng Justin would be well worth it.

Justin--Thanks, and I didn't smash anything getting those buggers out of my car.

Robert,

If you have the money I've heard that Brian Shaw's stone sleeves are great:

The sweatshirt idea will probably make it a lot harder to hold, depending on the size of the stone that may not be an issue.

Not sure if it would work but a pair of elbow sleeves on you forearms would probably help or the arms off of an old wetsuit.

Re: Atlas Stones in Milwaukee/Chicago Area

Matt--good ideas. I wonder if I'm too small for the sleeves Shaw offers since the size choices are Big and Bigger, and I'm average at best when it comes to size.

This weekend I'll be shopping for some cheap elbow sleeves.
