Atlas Stones in Milwaukee/Chicago Area
I am selling 14" and 16" atlas stones. The 14" stones weigh about 115# and the 16" stones weigh about 175#. That can also be increased/decreased for an additional charge (need to use special inserts).
They are made with a professional grade high impact and crack resistant concrete that exceeds ASTM C-387 requirements, and is reinforced with synthetic fiber for additional strength. Guaranteed not to break. Asking $0.50 per pound, and I can deliver. |

Re: Atlas Stones in Milwaukee/Chicago Area
I'm definitely intersted in the #115 stone.
Probably the 175 too. I'm 5'6" and weight 175. I deadlift around 400. Do you think I'll be able to manipulate the 175? I live about 90 minutes away from Milwaukee in the NW subs of Chicago. PM me for details. |

Yes you'll outgrow the 175 pretty quick

Hey Bob, PM just sent. You should have no problem at all with the 175 lb stone.

Re: Atlas Stones in Milwaukee/Chicago Area
spend some time on that 115# stone though. Get some volume to develop that low back. Stones are a bit more strenuous on the back due to the arch in the back.

Re: Atlas Stones in Milwaukee/Chicago Area
Seriously? A 115 stone for a 400lb deadlifter? NAS contests start at a 220 stone for the lightweights typically...+

Re: Atlas Stones in Milwaukee/Chicago Area
If you have never used one it's certainly not a bad idea to play around with lighter stones at least to get a feel for it. Trying to lift even a 115 lb stone can be intimidating the first time! Once you get the hang of them, then go for it!

Re: Atlas Stones in Milwaukee/Chicago Area
Definitely will take some time to get used to the 175. My DL is 465 and I had a hard time picking up a 175 this weekend. All technique at the start it seems. I think the 115 would be good for you to learn technique and then the 175 would be good once you get the hang of it..... and a heavier one in a few months.

Then I'll probably get both. Plus I need some lawn decor.
