Two days ago I had my left shoulder operated on to repair several tears of the labrum (cartilage) and the bicep tendon. I will be unable to do much of anything overhead , presses, pullups etc., for at least 3 months. The injury forced me to withdraw from the SEA to SUMMIT race at Mt Washington in N.H. Needless to say I'm pretty bummed and am looking for some tips on maintaining my sanity and some resemblence of fitness until I've recovered. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

keep your metcon up with lower body body work and pain free range of motion within your doctors limits. Your doctor will most likely prescribe PT and just do what they have for you to do.
