X-Mark Rubber Hex Dumbells
Does anyone have any experience with these dumbbells? Specifically the weights of 75-100# ?
Was looking at the price on wayfair and it can't be beat. However, I do have concerns over the knurl.
I've picked up some of the "unknown" lighter rubber hex you can get at Dick's and the handle would have my hands shredded in no time (doing farrmers, man-makers, thrusters, push-press, hang-cleans, snatch). I'd have to take a file to it and smooth off some of the nasty spots. It'd almost be better if they left the handle raw and let the thing rust.
Then also, at these larger sizes, I don't know if they've made them too unmanageable for more dynamic movements. Like handle or "bells" just too big or terrible balance. Might work fine for curls, but suck for racking etc.
I'd just like to know if anyone has had any experience with these ... and what I'd be getting myself in for if bought.
Online reviews seem to tap out at about 7.5 pounds. "great for step aerobics"
