Inov-8 240 v. 195

I really like the 240 and I am thinking about pulling the trigger. However, I have nowhere to try on the 195 and was hoping that someone here could give me some feed back on the 195 as compared to the 240. Looking at the shoe it actually looks like the 195 has more forefoot cushioning than the 240 despite being lighter.

Thanks

Honestly I would recommend trying them on. Based on what I knew about them I would have picked the 240's, but once I actually tried them on the 195's felt way better on my feet.

What did you like about the 195 that you liked better? It looks like the cushioning in the forefoot is more substantial in the 195 than in the 240.

I don't know it's something I could explain. I put both on and ran in them. They also recorded my feet when I ran to see how my form was. In the 195 I felt more comfortable and my form was better.

Re: Inov-8 240 v. 195

I went down to a running shop that carries both types. It's just lucky that most of the people who work there also do CrossFit or at least know a lot about it. It has become a very popular place for CrossFitters to get their shoes. Even if they didn't know much about CrossFit they are very knowledgeable about running. Like I said they use coaches eye to record you running and place you in the best show. This place also does weekly runs for free and even weekly yoga.

I blew out the side of the toe box on the 195's because my feet were too wide for them. After that i got the 240's and besides the differences in width for the toe area i didn't notice that much difference.

Re: Inov-8 240 v. 195

Well, I got the 240. So far, I like them much better than any of my Nanos. If they hold up well and I continue to like them, I may try pair of 195s to compare.

Thanks for all the info on these shoes.

Re: Inov-8 240 v. 195

After a few workouts now, I can definitely say that I like the Inov-8 240 much better than my Nanos. The Inov-8 is by far the best weight lifting/workout/running/agility shoe I have ever worn. I am shocked at how much I like the 240. I wouldn't change a thing.

I like my 195s better than the Nanos as well. The only downside I see to them is I don't think they will hold up as well.
