Re: Top 10 or so Athletes You'd Like to See at the Games

I think rugby players and decathletes could do well in CF because they have good size, strength, power, speed and endurance. On the female side, I think gymnasts, heptathletes, and soccer players will do well. I think most male gymnasts and soccer players are too small to be Games-level athletes.

Also Bo Jackson and Jim Thorpe in their prime would be unbeatable.

I've always thought elite rugby players would have to be the most well rounded athletes amongst team sports.

I was also excited about the article until I actually read it. It seemed more of a 'let's poke fun at these athletes and call ourselves the best' kind of article instead of actually taking an honest look at things. If the sarcasm hadn't been there and if they had taken a more honest look at strengths and weaknesses, I would have enjoyed it more.

That being said, I would love to see some rugby and NFL guys in this, as well as some decathletes.

"My energy comes from my diet. Breakfast is 10 eggs and two to three pounds of bacon. Between meals, I eat lots of candy. In the morning, it will be several 3 Musketeers and/or Snickers bars; I need them for energy. Lunch, at 1 or 2 PM, is a double meal of a Polish pork chop, sauerkraut and potatoes. An hour later, I work out, then take lots of supplements: magnesium, creatine, amino acids, all that stuff, and more chocolate. Dinner is whatever meat I can grab—steaks, pork chops, bacon—plus more sauerkraut and potatoes. At 9 or 10 PM, I work out again. Afterward, I have a protein shake and more chocolate. At 3 or 4 AM, I wake up and have more chocolate, then go back to sleep until morning"

hah I don't know what surprised me more, the 2 to 3 pounds of bacon that goes with 10 eggs, or all the candy he eats.

Re: Top 10 or so Athletes You'd Like to See at the Games

I'll pick current and old athletes.

Michael Jordan - Just knows how to win and has a killer instinct like no other.
Bo Jackson - Power, speed, strength and super athlete.
Deion Sanders - One of the greatest all around athletes in history. Crazy fast.
Carl Lewis - Sprints and jumping ability. The epitome of speed/explosion.
Pyrros Dimas - No explanation needed.
Alexander Karelin - Rumored to be more machine than man.
Dave Goggins - Discipline and mental strength.
Ashton Easton - If you hold a decathlon WR, you're good.
Brock Lesnar - One of the most athletic guys I've ever seen at that size.
Mariusz Pudzianowski - If it has to do with anything heavy, the GOAT.

Realized I need an 11th athlete since there is no crazy gymnast on my list. For that, I'll go with (and give the women athletes some love) either of the 2 Svetlanas from Russia.

Haha I think he left out a few important items in his "supplement" category. The craziest part of his diet has to be waking up at 3 or 4 in the morning to eat more chocolate and then go back to sleep
