I was wondering about modifying the diet during a meal.
For instance, the other day family was over and we made a huge meal. BBQ chicken, potato salad, veggies etc - summer meal. I ended up eating more than my 4 blocks of chicken - should I have upped my carb / fat to balance it, effectively making it a 6 block meal instead of a 4? Or should I just have the extra protein and leave the carb / fat? And would the answer be the same if it was the carbs that I upped and not the protein? Jason |

Well I just started the Zone diet and Crossfit last month so I am not an expert but I did read Mastering the Zone. I believe you have to keep the Protein, carb, and fat ratio. So if you eat 6 blocks of protein you need 6 blocks of carbs and 6 blocks of fat. Hope this helps.
