In one of Rips books he discusses assistense exercises and rows from the floor are one.Anybody use these and how do you do this movement.

Richard, I have heard them called Pendlay Rows though they may have other names. A quick google search for that term provided lots of links and vids. Here is just one link --http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LvWeC2dXRsA --work and family safe that shows someone doing a set of pendlay rows.
I used them as part of Starting Strength/Practical Programming routine for 12 weeks. The rows didn't irritate my elbow tendonitis as much as chin or pull ups. |
