Best GHD?

Hello, All,

Another question on equipment. Can you please tell me what are considered the top two or three GHDs by CrossFitters? I am considering buying the one from Jason at Wright, but before I pull the trigger, would love to hear your recommmendations.

Thanks!

Lisa

Re: Best GHD?

I hate to say it, but do a search

There are already some great reviews out there on a good number of the GHDs.

From what I've heard, York makes very solid ones, and are very pleasant to do business with.

For a decent, cheap one, Yukon makes a GHD for around $160. Mine has worked great for nearly 6 months. My only complaint is that there is no split cushion, which means if you're a guy (which you're not, but maybe some of those using it will be), you're in for some discomfort.

Thanks, Elliot. This is very helpful and I have heard good things about York as well. I actually did do a search and at first glance couldn't find any recent reviews, but I will definitely go out and spend a little more time.

Best!

The one Jason sells is great with the split pad. It is very well made and sturdy.

That's exactly the problem I came up against. THere are reviews out there but nothing recent. When planning to drop some serious coin like this I want to know the latest news and reviews. I do know that Allison at York is a dream to deal with. Her GHB is expensive but I understand it is about the best.

Re: Best GHD?

Thank you all for your feedback on this one. Seems like the York GHD is definitely at the top. I already have an order from Jason (Wright) on the way, so I was thinking about just putting his GHD on the truck with the other stuff to save shipping charges to Cali. I am going to call Jason and Alison tomorrow and see if I can get clear specs so I can compare apples to apples and make a decision. Just wish I could see these things in person.

Thanks, again for all of your time and your comments.

Sorinex makes an awsome GHD! But I believe it is even more expensive than the york

Re: Best GHD?

Just my two cents, I use the York, and it's the only GHD I've ever used because I've never seen another. But it's fantastic. Sorinex may make better, but not by much, not enough to justify double the price. When I build the home gym, that is the piece I will justify the money on if I have to buy new. Go for it.

Thanks, David. Yes, I am still trying to sort out the differences between the York, Wright Exercise and Sorinex. No question the York one is solid and the Sorinex one is beefy (with added features.) One thing I am trying to figure out at the moment:

Should I get one with knee pads or not? I don't think the Sorinex GHD has knee pads, but the York and the Wright Exercise ones do.

Lisa
