Are we allowed to post items for sale on here? I pretty desperately need to get rid of my car, and have been posting it everywhere I can find online.

In a word, no.

To flesh that out slightly: we strongly discourage the posting of items for sale.

We tolerate it for CrossFit-specific and relevant items, and are grateful for the postings and generosity of several good folks who offer a wide range of training equipment with a "CrossFit discount" . . . but even there we discourage any product or price lists, etc.

As the AUP says:

Please don't use the board for personal announcements and profiteering. A discretely placed website reference is generally considered acceptable, but the board is not a place for non-CrossFit organizations to advertise their programs. Commercial postings may be allowed by regular forum contributors at the moderators' discretion.

If you've truly tried to sell the vehicle via local mechanisms (EBay? Craiglist? your local paper's classifieds?), perhaps you are pricing it too high.

It's definitely not commercial... I'd never buy a Lincoln LS to make money, that's for sure.

I just listed it two days ago, but I like really need to get rid of it, that's why I asked.

But rather than cause any confusion with other people wanting to do the same thing, I'll just abstain from posting it on here.

You NEED to get rid of a Lincoln?

I'm getting my license in about a week, and could use a first car! =D

(Hahaha, I wish.)

Yeah, I can't afford the stupid thing anymore, it's a nice looking, nice handling, and safe car, but what a pain in the arse it's been. Of course, I fixed so much on it, there's nothing left to break.

Down in the depths she started a rockin'.
I looked in the mirror and a red light was blinkin';
The cops was after my Hot Rod Lincoln."

Have you heard the Twangbangers version of that song? It is amazing.
