Have you tried to save your profile without a picture, then go back in and add the new one?

I had the same problem you are having, your new pic shows in your profile, but does not display as your avatar in the posts. I found an old post that told me to delete my existing pic and save my profile, log off, close my browser and wait about a half hour. Then log back in, add the new pic and save my profile. I did all that and after a few hours everything was working fine.

Roger's Star Spangle Banner trick might have worked for me had I known about it..........

Just tape it to your screen and pretend it is displaying correctly. Same principle as the blonde and the White-out.

FWIW, I deleted my picture, waited a week, uploaded a new picture, and STILL got my Magritte knock-off.

Chris just called me out! Skip I wish I knew what I was doing to be able to do that, so I could share. In my case it's likely dumb luck.

What I can't figure out is why it continues to place the superman log. I deleted it, and added the new pic 3 times, and still the superman is displayed.:ranting2:

Sorry, Skip.

Even I don't understand it, and I'm not sure that Lynne can make it work, either. The "avatar" feature and it's not-responsiveness is one of the more annoying aspects of the Discus software we use.

(You'll note that neither of us uses an avatar . . )

Trying to get a fix, at least for this part of it.
