And I got my receipt from masters nationals. So... I guess I'm going. Laugh of the week, my housemate asked if Im going there to have an affair. Funniest thing I ever heard....I said, Im going alone! (Yeah, I'm going all the way to SAVANNAH to get it on. Its hotter there. HAHAhahaha). What must he think happens at gyms and meets?? Keeps asking me for a shirt. A shirt? He must think we swap shirts at the meets. HAhahahaha

3_3_12 Saturday

*Sigh* Was so excited when I saw todays program!! Snatch to 50.
I let this one get away from me.

My cycle started Thursday which is good, no bad PMS (I think last month was a full moon) and I felt great today going on.
Nick laughed, 'look at her, shes getting muscles' when I got there.

48kg (f - not enough perdev - some word the two Russians say for zing)

50kg f (didnt get any zing/perdef on it - but know what I need)
50kg f didnt' bring it in off the floor it was a forward catch couldn't save
50kg great snatch! Nick said I did it perfect. and....pushed the bar a tiny bit forward getting up and LOST IT. would've been a 2kg PR. spit fiss puck!!
I so want this lift!!! I want to do 50 at the masters nationals. I tried 3 more times but I was landing back, away from bar. ?? I snatched great w/no misses to 48. I know I can do 50, for sure now.
Power Clean + Power Jerk
35kg/2+2 (2) i banged the bar with my thigh. Screwed up the whole clean session b/c unconsciously I kept trying to NOT brush it. Nick told me again, BRUSH THE THIGH IS CORRECT.
40kg/2+1 (2) I missed the 2nd set 2nd pjerk, don't ask. Just did it over fine. getting annoyed now.

I can't believe I lost that snatch. maddening!! Once I get it, 40kg more for Granny to catch Danica. HAhahaha!

I want to get 50/60 on the board - because that's what Lee has right now. By the time I do it, he'll have more and Ill STILL be the weakest one there.

58kg f/f - racked the first one forward, the second was better but I did the old bad habit, sinking down to soft in the hole I did that on the 2nd rep of 52s, but still made it. So disappointing!

Not the best session; I didnt feel tired and looked forward to the session, but I guess my body was tired. Nick said in another year I'll be good; you should see Ryan, the new guy (but experienced lifter). I dont know what all flaws Nick been fixing other than, he used not to set for his lifts - but he looks better and better and better. Gonna be a beast! Now Nick says, watch Ryan! lol. He's a good coach.
(Come to think of it I never get to see much of Justin's training anymore; he's coaching two other guys. Nick coaching Justin to coach).

Nothing like the 58 tues, clean & recovery fairly easy - I mustve just been slow and maybe landing narrow tues.

70kg/2 PR for a double red plates + change, woo!
70kg/2 first one ok, 2nd one Nick said he lifted up on the bar
70kg/2 miss!! Im still a weakling. Nick said, gotta get the reps in do a double at 60. A DOUBLE at 60?? WTF I can do a triple with 60! I had put my bar away. Got it all back out.
60kg/3 I could do more but he just wanted me to do the amount of reps programmed I guess.

Eh workout. My left shoulder was REALLY bothering me; impingement or arthritis not sure it doesnt hurt all the time. The other shoulder's been bothering a little, its either arthritis from so much OHS work, or something diff in my form or bar path. But I was afraid to jerk for hurting it, and I could get the 57 just afraid it would hurt, I think. Didn't do it over, need to save my shoulder for this meet. Ugh upsetting...
The cleans didn't bother it that much, the squats felt ok with it, go figure.
And got in BIG TROUBLE because I went to ask Nick, do more squats? and he said no - and I FORGOT TO TAKE MY BAR DOWN. OMG! That's almost as bad as putting my foot on the bar, or stepping over it A huge no-no! He texted me a pix of my bar; Im in trouble!

oh yeah; I was saying how disappointed I was not to get all the doubles at 70; Justin (my babysitter) said a lot of people wouldn't even try it. Its hard to be positive there, when everybody is so good; Dan was next to me, Boffa was in front of me (men of enviable zing)... I wasn't even thinking about my clean (except for, dont pull it to my chin, still remember Dave saying that) or sinking or getting soft. OTOH if I was much better, would I keep trying so hard??
Used to be I would be happy just to make everything. Now I know how a good lift feels, so I judge every session by how many 'perfect' lifts did I have? Nick would probably say, there's no feeling in WL. Just shut up stop thinking & lift!

Second lift he said too far back on my heels, can't get away with that unless Im a small Asian person - said I made the lift because I 'brought the bar back with me.' Not sure what that means, it felt like the bar was in a slightly diff place than the first one (that one i just pushed my feet and the bar flew away, easy! God why arent they all like that?). I need to be able to do a double with this weight.

Its all of the porno vids with hot chicks getting it on with their trainers, or the geeky guy that gets the hot trainer babe. Let them keep thinking its a possibility - maybe they'll work harder.

Supposed to do 5 sets and done.
He asked during set 3 'did you see something or hear something about the scoop? It looks like you're trying to scoop.' Scoop? Nope; just trouble feeling my zing. He reminded me, just keep the position and push feet thru floor; everything else just happens.
Then, 'what do you have let me see program. Oh. Lets not waste a day on recovery, do Tuesday's training today.' Im so diligent with my usual prep, but I didnt do it last nite, parents were in town, out late - totally unprepared!

That was the end. He said, you can't be done? Do Snatch Press from Squat Position. I can't believe I missed no squats...I didnt sleep much and was going on a tiny tuna sandwich here - but the squatting was the best part; Its true it doesnt matter how you feel. A week or so ago I couldnt do 55, today it wasnt even that hard till last set. Well, I had a weird rep the third double b/c someone unloaded one side of their racked bar on the platform in front of me and it fell off while his back was turned while I was in a squat and I was trying to say "hey! help!", but just grunting came out, hahaha. Nick said, nice grunting, deb. I woulda ran and helped him if I was free.
