CF Open WOD poll

CF Open WOD poll.

How many times do you plan on hitting each workout? I initially planned on doing each one only once. However, in my first attempt of WOD1 I miss counted two rounds of snatches (did 14 reps each time) and had to hit it again with a buddy verbally counting every rep.

I only plan on doing each one once. I think you can definitely improve your scores with multiple attempts, but I also think that the small margin you do improve your score will not be significant over 6 workouts in determining wether or not you make it to regionals.

Post your thoughts!

Re: CF Open WOD poll

Did the first workout three times because I suck at double unders. Regressed by 10 reps on attempt #2, and then PR'd by 32 reps the third time.

Did the second one last night and blew away what I was expecting going into it. Probably not going to do that again.

Re: CF Open WOD poll

I'm participating in the Open purely for the fun of it and I am far from being competitive in any way at crossfit. In a way it's just another WOD for me and I don't intend to alter my training for it. No real sense in hitting the WODs more the once.

I've done both twice. First rd. only went up a few reps, but second WOD made significant improvement so glad I did it.

Re: CF Open WOD poll

I did the first WOD twice, as another said, I suck at double unders, but during the WOD, several people are trying to coach you on doing them... I did better when I just focus on getting one at a time, than stringing them together...but anyway, the same thing happened the second attempt, and I ended up being 7 reps lower than the first.

So, second WOD, I decided not to do again. My thinking was, if you go to regionals (which I am mainly doing this for fun this year...), you only get one chance to do the WOD, so why not make it count?

Well, did the third WOD twice, and improved 2.5 rounds...

I don't plan on doing the last 3 more than once, unless of course, it's something I'm horrible about, and I end up figuring it out before the week is over.
