Meriah's WOD Log

There is no turning back now! I've been doing this long enough that I need to stop being a ghost on the message board and put it out there. No matter how pitiful. I am hoping to be more accountable by posting, and to get it out of my head to prevent insanity. Here we go!

Height: 5'7
Weight: 166...sigh (supposedly 125 lean muscle mass)
Diet: half assed Zone (researching IF and Metabolic and I try not to eat wheat)
Training: 3-6 in a week. If I was home more it would be better balanced.
Job: Trainer/affiliate ams and pms and Insurance agent by day
Sleep: about 7 (+/- 1 hour)
CrossFitting: Since Feb 08 wasn't consistent this summer due to travel, opening an affiliate and 100 other lame excuses. Just getting serious again in Sept.

Short-term goals:
Get diet under control
Get my mind off of losing weight and focus on performance
Figure out how to do more than 1 kipping pull up at a time.
Run 5K straight through

Long Term Goals (6mo-1yr)
Sub 6 min Fran
dead lift 300lb (currently 245 not my pr)
ring dips 5-10
Competitively Run 5K

Recent WOD Times
FGB 204
Cindy 12 rounds 1-3 kipping pull-ups at a time.
Filthy 50 (18"box and 1/2pood KB it was the only one left) 33min55sec
Nancy RX'd 19:50 I am awful runner and wasted a lot of time getting into the OHS. I need to practice snatch instead of cleaning, push press, and adjust grip and another press. Very time consuming.
WOD 081021
10 Rounds for time
12 Burpees
12 Pull-ups

Blue band assisted pull-ups I did get chest to bar on most of those. Once I figured out how to kip on them.

33:and..um 47ish? I can't remember.
Burpees were not as bad as anticipated; better than push-ups in Cindy 4 days ago.

Kind of some sally times, but I feel pretty good during and felt well after once my forearms returned to normal size.

Re: Meriah's WOD Log

WOD 081022

run 5K subbed 2K row

8:48.2 started out super awkward in form, but stopped thinking about it and smoothed out stroke. Kept s/m between 24-28. This was the first time I paid attention to that so it was difficult to maintain.

Re: Meriah's WOD Log

WOD 081023
5 Rounds for time
6 Deadlifts
12 Knees to elbows

12:53 at 175lbs

Took me longer than expected. Keeping form as tough, my left hastring was tight which made good form hardto keep so i was rounding about everyother lift. I need to toughen up my hands, grips for both hurt! I can't decide on todays WOD between the main site or my affiliates WOD of 65# squat cleans 75 reps for time. Both sound fun.

Re: Meriah's WOD Log

Hey Meriah!

I did that awful rowing workout to sub for today's 4 x 400m run. I will be @ the gym at 5 p.m. if you want to come by early and do the run (uhhh, not like you have a key or anything but if you want motivation and someone to help time you )

Good job in yesterday's workout. That was a good time, so don't sweat it

Re: Meriah's WOD Log

Thanks for the encouragement Jenna! I am just hard on myself incase you haven't noticed.

WOD 081024

4X400M run
Rest 2 min in between

1:31
1:33
1:35
1:38

I was surprised; I honestly thought I was going to take me at least 1 min more each 400 than it did. So yay that! That first and the last hurt the most. I wish I didn't get so gassed in the first 100m. I start out upright, strong, legs long and extending, and the other 300m I can barely keep one foot in front of the other. At least that is what it feels like. It doesn't help that the way back is slightly up hill.

WOD 081025

CrossFit Total!

BS 200#
SP 95#
DL 235#
Total 530

I think my last Total was 536 which was a long, long time ago. Old PRs were BS around 244ish, SP 95, DL was 264. I am still a ways away from getting those back, but they will come soon! I really want to get 100#SP
I've been at 95 for a long time. Can't wait for the next total!

Re: Meriah's WOD Log

Nice job Meriah! Solid numbers, if you ask me

You'll have to check out my log to see what pitiful numbers I put up today. Well, I guess you saw most of it, but my DL was crappy. Kinda tweaked my back. Hurts to lift anything. I'm going to rest it today and should be back to normal soon. Not a big deal (besides, I am invincible!!!)

Re: Meriah's WOD Log

Slacker

Sunday was my rest day, but I did go on a mild mountain bike ride. I managed to stay on the trail this time and no blood shed!

Monday was my first day of IF. I last ate Sunday 8:30-9pm ish. I did no eat again until about 2:30pm my goal was 3pm monday. Not so bad. The hunger level is the same all day. I didn't drink anything, which I dno't think that was a good idea. I did not feel good come 4pm. Headache and slightly queasy. So I did not work out. Went home slept and ate and felt much better.

Today is day two of IF so far so good. My goal is 3 again. I'm bored at work and it is causing temptation.

Re: Meriah's WOD Log

Don't do it Meriah! Don't give into the boredom feeding!

You should definitely try to drink more. Water, tea (which you don't like), or even black coffee. Start with water though! Hopefully you are feeling better this afternoon....

did that squat clean workout. Was pretty fun!

Re: Meriah's WOD Log

081028

OHS
3-2-2-2-1-1-1-1

Oh no I don't remember exactly how I got there but I know where I ended! I think it went something like this....

105-115-125-135-145-150-155-165 PR!

Previous PR was about 154# I think.
So yay for that.

That was day two of fasting. Felt much better today and drank more water which I think helped.
