here is the biggest reason i teach the down&up in the first portion of the burgener warm up. this photo was taken at the national championships i believe....erin okonek 69 kg lifter ready to explode upward creating momentum on the barbell.

I'm surprised Coach B left out "elevation" in his description.

I'm so used to the good ol' "...creating elevation and momentum on the bar..."
