Sectionals Spectators - BYOB?

Have spectators been doing BYOB at sectionals? Is this something that is more venue specific?

Any idea as to whether the VA sectional will be BYOB? Thanks.

Contact someone running the competition you're going to--if it's in a public place the BYOB is probably a no-no, but if it's inside their gym it may be permitted unless they prohibit alcohol for liability reasons.

I didn't bring any, but plenty of other people brought beer to the SoCal sectional. It was a public venue (UCLA track and field stadium), but nobody seemed to care. Some of the competitors cracked one open as soon as they finished, just as they did at the local OC throwdown a few months ago.

I judged at the PA/MD/DE Sectionals Saturday, hosted at CF King of Prussia by the awesome Tanya Wagner and her crew. After about two thirty or so I noticed beers floating around among the spectators. Nobody batted an eye, but that doesn't cover all the other events. If you're in doubt, call the hosts and ask.

seemed to be plenty of post WOD nutrition in a fermented liquid form at the FL Sectionals. I know a few of our guys had a beer or two between WODs.

2:30??? Casey was obviously too busy doing his job as a judge. I think Jason Lyons had one cracked around 12:30 (ok it might have been 1), he figured it was 5 somewhere

He also looked like he was having more fun then anyone else there!!

I can tell you that after the event there were many partakers in many adult beverages. It was a great event!

Yea beer just came out of the woodwork as soon as everyone was done. It was an awesome day, wished the weather would have been better, but oh well.

Central Southern Texas Sectionals were at Camp Mabry, a military base.
