Elbows!
This past Wednesday I had a great workout- 100 pull-ups, 100 push-ups, 100 squats and 100 sit-ups. I finished in a good time and felt sore, but otherwise fine immediately after. The next day I woke up with terrible pain in my lats and elbows. Both of my elbows and the adjacent areas of my forearms, biceps and triceps are considerably swollen. I also haven't been able to straighten my arms and there is significant pain when I attempt to.
I've been CrossFitting for about a year and a half now, injury free until now. Any advice for recovery? Ideas of how or why this might have happened? Thanks! |

Re: Elbows!
Sounds like rhabdo.
Drink lots of water... most likely go to the hospital (especially if you are peeing anything beyond clear/yellow). |

Re: Elbows!
I have to agree - sounds like a possible case of rhabdo. Check out the article "Killer Workouts" by Eugene Allen - Crossfit Journal part of website, free article listed on the right.
If you get worse, I'd be off to the Doc. |

Re: Elbows!
To me it sounds more like a case of epicondylitis. unless there are some rhabdo specific signs, I would doubt that is the case.
Was this a PR type workout? or first time you have done this many Push-ups and Pull-ups? |

Re: Elbows!
I can see why you would say that because of the underlined
