Video Editing software

Could someone help me with what is a good video editing program? I use a Dell PC. I am looking to be able to edit videos by adding music, words, include slow motion, etc. I was not sure if there is a particular program that alot of crossfitters use for their websites. Please help me out. Price and name of software? Thanks from CrossFit Apex.

Re: Video Editing software

Windows Movie Maker for appending videos and adding subtitles.
VirtualDub (with the DivX codec) for everything else, and saving videos as compressed files.

Re: Video Editing software

I've been using Pinnacle Studio. If I remember correctly, it's less that $100

I've found it pretty easy to use - you can see a demo of the most recent video I did with it last week here:

Re: Video Editing software

Adobe and Pinnacle are arguably the 2 best.

Re: Video Editing software

If I were working on a PC I would use Adobe Premiere. There's an express version if you don't want to spend that much. Adobe has been in it for a long time and the support is the best if you run in to a snag.

Sony is next in my opinion, then Pinnacle. You can always get away with Windows Movie Maker but you'll find when you get better and want to do more you'll be inhibited.

The best thing to do is try out all the demos and figure out which works best for you.

Re: Video Editing software

Thanks guys for the help. I actually have installed pinnacle 11 which I got from my tech department at school free of charge. I have started playing around with the editing features! Thanks again.
