What's a good price for a Model C CII rower in excellent condition? What is the difference in this model and the newest version?

Thanks in advance.

You see the price for these things go all over the map. Some folks have paid as little as $50! An incredible bargain.

A new model D goes for 860. The model D offers no exercise advantage over the CII; it's just refined, The D has diffrent electronics, and ergo handel, and it's quieter. None of these things make any difference in the exercise.

Given that a new rower is 860, I would very comfortably pay upward of 600 plus for an excellent C2, that I didn't have to pay shipping for. Get the best deal you can, but get C2. I love mine.

The price we pay in the UK for C2's compared to that in the US totally sucks.

It is more pounds than you pay in dollars!

The same reason that they're the most popular brand in commercial gyms. They're practically indestructable, they last forever, they're easily maintained, and support from C2 is good.

And it makes an easy basis for comparision if everyone's using the same kit :-)

I picked up mine second hand for $400 - in as new condition. Very pleased, and probably the best piece of workout gear I've ever spent my money on.

Nice thing about the C2 is that it's adaptable to any fitness level. Whether you're a monster man or a soft squishy type it lets you work as hard or as easy as you like, and it works almost EVERYTHING in your body.

You could upgrade your Model C to a Model D for about $160. Get the new ergo handle for $20, and the new monitor retro-fit for about $140 (when you get the new monitor, you need to send in your old one for the discounted price). I was looking to do a trade in for $400, but the gear guy (Eugene) clued me into this little trick. Baron, you do this and it's almost like theft!

Question: why upgrade the monitor?

I can see spending 20 for the more comfy handle. What benefits do the new monitor provide?

Thx
