Adapting mainsite WODs for 5-2 schedule

How would I go about doing this? Do to work constraints, I can no longer do the 3-1 schedule and have to switch to a 5-2. I have been following the mainsite WODs for a little less than a year and I don't want to stop following them. Would I have to do something like strength Monday, metcons Tues. and Weds., strength Thurs., stamina Fri.? Or, would it be better to pick five WODs in the order they're listed in the site and just do those back to back?

Most folks just lag behind by a month or two and do the WoDs in order.

Re: Adapting mainsite WODs for 5-2 schedule

5-2 works for me. I had the same issue with work so I started with the May WOD and and have been working my way forward from there. This morning I did the May 12 WOD.

So you do the wods in order for five days, regardless of what they are? Have you found that you can recover enough to perform well in the last two days of the cycle?

Re: Adapting mainsite WODs for 5-2 schedule

Yup... so far so good - AND I workout first thing in the AM - 6AM!

I thought I was gonna have an issue the other day because I had to do Push Jerks and Grace back to back, but I got through it.

I eat alot, though. I'm not on any weird low calorie fat loss diet. I eat good carbs, lots of proteins, and healthy fats... averaging about 3500-4000 calories per day.

Listen to your body - if you feel tired, either take Wednesday off (or lower the intensity of that WOD) or eat more.

Re: Adapting mainsite WODs for 5-2 schedule

Thanks for the great input. I am considering starting CFSB, just to change things up a bit. Does anyone know if this can be shifted to a 5-2 schedule? I doubt it can, but has anyone done this or have any insight as to whether or not it's possible?
