CrossFit Minneapolis - Interest??

Okay, this goes out to all of you living in the great white north!

I am planning on opening a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and kickboxing academy in the Minneapolis area....very soon! I have started to negotiate on industrial space and we are getting close to finalizing things.

As part of my training over the years I have been a loyal CrossFiter and I recently attended a certification seminar and have spoken with Tony about the potential of an affiliate in the Minneapolis area (SW suburbs).

My question is how big is the CF community in our area? Aside from developing new clients, I would love to provide a facility for all existing CrossFitters in our area to gather.

Damian,

Sounds good to me. I have been CFing for about 1.5 years. Unfortunately, I live on the NE side in Lino Lakes. So going to the SW would be a haul. There are 1 or 2 CFrs that I know of on that side of town. Shoot me an email with info so I know where you are.

Edina/Bloomington area. Not too far off the 494 strip. 169 and 494. Very easy access from everywhere. It is only 20-35 minutes from just about anywhere.

I have timed it from as far north as Maple Grove and as far east as Woodbury.

A friend of mine lives in Woodbury/Lake Elmo area (very far east suburb) it will take him about 30 minutes +/-.

I made sure to be right off major highways so it is really easy for people from all over to attend.

I'll keep everyone posted as we move foreward.

It would be nice to get some "veterans" in there right off the bat!!
