I frequently travel to the bay area and drive between san bruno and santa clara on a daily basis. I don't have my golds gym membership anymore (thanks to garage gym and crossfit.com) so I can't use their facilities anymore. Anyone know of a good place on the peninsula (no time to drive to santa cruz unfortunately) where I could train just for the weekdays I am there? I've seen a few gyms in industrial parks around Menlo but have never investigated them. What about CrossFit San Jose? Is that up and running? I might want to drive there if so, as I'm not all that far in Santa Clara.

Don:
Uh, yes, you're a bit off . . . Santa Clara = SF Bay Area = Northern California. La Jolla = San Diego = south of Los Angeles (by Mexican border). About 450 miles (700 km) apart. (But it still might be worth checking out .) |

My only consolation in stuffing up Californias geography so badly is that apparently when news stories involving Australia run in the US they have to pull out a world map to explain where Australia is to most people

James, I believe CF San Jose should be opening up soon. That would be your best 'CF' bet. Otherwise I can't really help you.

Don:
Don't apologize. The one and only time I made it to Australia (fabulous trip; if you can't have a good time in Australia, you're probably already dead), I was surprised to find it was a 3-1/2 hour flight from Sydney to Cairns (and another hour's drive to Port Douglas). . . I had vaguely assumed I could just sort of "drive up for the weekend" . . . |
