Take a look at www.fullcontactkettlebells.com. Check out Steve Cotter doing presses, front kicks and pistols with monster weight kettlebells. WOW!

Cool stuff.

I'm lucky enough to train in the same gym as Josh Roach, S&C coach at U.C. Riverside. He recently won one of Pavel's Tactical Strength Challenge competitions. Josh does some amazing things with the biggest KBs, including snatches with the rare 2 pood KB for reps.

Check out Josh's log, very Crossfit-like:

Lincoln,
You must be thinking of Stephane Rochet, also a strength coach at UC Riverside. Josh is definitely a beast. He snatched an 88 lbs kettlebell for 16 reps with both arms back to back at the RKC seminar.
I also met Steve Cotter at the same seminar and he is an absolute monster strength-wise and a very nice guy. He is probably the best in the world when it comes to pistols (seriously). One time he did 88 in a row with the same leg. He can do jump kicks out of a pistol and all kinds of other stuff.

Yeah, I was. Rochet is an animal too. I think he came in third at the same comp. He's so tall - 6'4" - that some of the events put him at a real disadvantage. I miss seeing him at the gym. Last I heard he was applying to the L.A.P.D.

I don't know how he would do with bodyweight pistols for reps, but Josh has unreal strength in the pistols. His barbell front squat is around 340-350 these days.
