365 days of Crossfit

I have officially reached my 1 year mark in CF! I love every damn bit of this program, and want to thank Aaron Shaffer, Luke, Terry, and all the other doodz at Cleveland Crossfit for their support, motivation, jeers, insults, and taunts!

Highlights:

400 lb deadlift
4:44 Fran time
1:40 400m row
Hitting my old PR in FGB of 270...while I had Bronchitis
A muscle up
25 pullups in a row
Watching Cleveland Crossfit become the fitness Mecca of the North Coast
Hitting Siren from American Gladiators in the Face with a 20 lb medicine ball
Splitting 12 pairs of underwear while Snatching/Squatting

Goals for the next year:

Get better at running
Figure out my diet...I cannot stick to zone no matter what I do
consecutive muscle ups
Develop the OHS & Snatch
Reduce bf% to <10%
Sub 3 fran, sub 10 Helen, Grace as Rx'ed, Murph as Rx'ed
Meet Eva, Tosh, Greg, AllieCali, Jolie, Annie, and OPT
Get certified!

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!! MUCH LOVE AND RESPECT TO EVERYONE THAT HAS HELPED AND INFLUENCED ME!!!! GET SOME!!!!

Thumbs up Re: 365 days of Crossfit

That's awesome, Joe. Glad to hear that your first year of CF has treated you as well as mine treated me. Good luck with all of your goals.

We'll have to get some kind of joint Cleveland CrossFit/CrossFit Cleveland event organized soon. Maybe our best regulars can go at it in a game of CrossFit HORSE!

Re: 365 days of Crossfit

5'11"
No idea on starting weight...prolly 190...I've gotten heavier though, and it's not all muscle.
Starting dead was around 250
Fran was about 8 minutes first time I tried it, Helen was 15.
Couldn't do a single pullup, had never done any Oly lifts, never even seen a rowing machine before. I was basically starting raw.

Sean...sounds fun. Our place our yours???

How about getting some decent underwear as a goal?

Re: 365 days of Crossfit

This is what I like so much about CF. It's so easy to measure gains in performance...I mean...Anybody remember the old days of...What do you bench? Really? Wow! What do you work out with??? Do you do cardio? Sweet...

Re: 365 days of Crossfit

I feel ya. The only thing I like more than the measureable progress is the constant challenge CF provides. You can always do it a little faster, with a little more weight, etc. I've become sort of a celebrity at my school for being the "badass workout guy." People can't believe what I do on a daily basis. It also doesn't hurt that my ex was telling my classmates that I had a better body than about 99% of the rest of the guys (although that's not too hard in law school). :
