Upper back pain

About 5 days ago was doing light push/press and a few hours after the workout I got some pain in my mid back between shoulder blades.Feels just like a crick in my neck but its just left of spine and I believe on it.Hurts worse upon neck flexion.Anybody heard of this?I think it was probly result of poor form on push/press.

Re: Upper back pain

Most likely causes would be trigger points in stabilizer muscles in the upper back or scapula or joint restriction in one or more rib joints (where they meet the spine). Using a foam roller (lying on it with it perpendicular to your spine and rolling on it) can be helpfull for both causes. A Chiropractor, Physical Therapist or Massage Therapist can also be a great help.
