Wow Graham, congratulations again! I was just rereading the posts on that pull up thread, and back then you were at 16, going up from 12. You just keep going up and up..., hopefully my finals are over in 2 weeks, and I will be able to start concentrating on my pull ups. At least I am up to 13 from the 10 that I started with.

Hey Graham, just wondering, have you changed your approach to pull ups? Do you still do several sets spread throughout the day? It seems that GTG has worked wonders for many people.

Hi Aitor, I've toned it down to less sets over the day as my reps have increased. I do a set of about 15-16 as a warm-up for the WOD. And may do weighted pull-ups (3rm 25lbs) and/or holds at the top and bottom position for the warm down.

When I started the challenge I was at 3 or 4. I pulled 14 3 weeks ago and then had to take a vacation from working out. I am going to pull for a max set this weekend.

Thanks, Kelly.
You will appreciate this; I found a gymnastics class for adults. Tonight is my third time going. Those rings are tough for me. I finally understand, I mean really understand, why bar dips do not even come close to ring dips. The parallel bars are cool, but man they bruse the biceps. The pommell horse is challenging. New goal: 1 muscle up.
Did it thaw out up there where you live? How many pull-ups are you doing now?

Hi Justin,

It's thawed out and pretty nice in Wisconsin right now. No mosquitos yet!

Pullups are going well: 32 regular bar pullups, 26 ring pullups, and 24 single point suspended pullups (nasty!). I did a short workout a couple days ago with strict deadhang bar pullups,(no kip, no swing) starting with 15 and working odd numbers down - I think I could have maxed those at 20. I have a large round climbing hold I have to take a jump at and "hug" to do pullups on - I usually fall off that one around 13 (no place to grip). I just made and finished mounting a maple climbing board in the basement to play on - good thing I'm enjoying pullups! I'm going to get that 40 yet.

What did you do to achieve your numbers? The increase in your pullups is very impressive.
