For the record,
I am not committing to a t-shirt that necessitates hiring a graphic artist. I think it is #76 that would need a new design and that is more than I am willing to put into this right now. I hope everyone is OK with that.

It's clear that the PC winner is "It doesn't have to be to be fun." This has been attributed to Mark Twight, by the way.

What's not so clear is the winner in the non-PC category. Most of the top vote-getters don't really seem that non-PC to me, other than number 68, perhaps.

Do numbers 81 and 400 count as non-PC? If so, I guess we need to have a run-off. Thoughts?

Mike

P.S. For those of you interested in the statistical breakdown (all three of you), here you go:

* 123 of the 472 (26%) entries received at least one vote.
* Of those 123 entries, 111 (90%) received 1 or 2 votes.
* The average number of votes received for all entries (123) was 1.49.
* The median number of votes received for all entries (123) was 1.
* Max = 7; Min = 1.

First, thanks to everyone who participated. Both in the naming contest and in the voting.

The final votes have been counted. I've never been a fan of parity (although I'm a huge fan of parody) and unfortunately, there were a lot of entries that received either 1 or 2 votes (the overwhelming majority of them, actually--more on that below).

But we did have some cream rising to the top.

In order of most votes received to least votes received, here's how it panned out for the top vote-getters:

I think that there are so many awesome slogans that we could do a Great Top 10 List. ie

The top 10 Reasons Why I do the Crossfit WOD.

Also, some of these slogans would make a great Crossfit Tag when combined with another T-Shirt.

ie "The Next Evolution in Fitness" could go next to Crossfit while the shirt has a larger print/graphic with one of the funny entries

I'm just amazed to see that this little thread I started is still going. And I'm pleased that one of mine (#52) made the final cut.

For my money, only #68 is clearly non-PC. I see worse almost every time I go to the mall.

OK, final results. The Non-PC winner had to be taken to the Judge (Lauren), based on the 3-way tie between entries 81, 319, and 400.

So here are the winners:

PC

436. It doesn't have to be fun to be fun.

Non-PC

400. Smoke you like cheap crack!

Again, thanks to everyone who participated in the naming contest and in the voting.

Mike,
Who entered "It doesn't have to be fun to be fun"? Sorry, I am too lazy to look back!

Who ever it is has one a free shirt!

"Smoke you like cheap crack" is an HQ entry attributed to Greg.

I'll have these new shirts made and up for sale ASAP.

Any color - style opinions?

Thanks everyone!
Lauren

Lauren,

Lynne posted "It doesn't have to be fun to be fun."

Regarding color/style, I'm fine with just the same black/white colors you offer now. The nice thing about the two winning entries is that you don't have to redesign the current t-shirt. All you have to do is add in the new slogans.

Mike

P.S. I really like that old t-shirt design with the DaVinci-like drawing of the human body on the back. But these are no longer in circulation, correct?

I was thinking of doing a new color for these. I really liked how the red shirts came out for the pull-up challenge. What do you think? Maybe we should stick with the black and white theme...

The "OC" design was discontinued because the graphic is public domain. We started seeing it everywhere. It is good though - hard to see it go.

I like grey/heather for a color. It's a little different and usually the cost of production is the same as white/black.

I love black shirts/white writing. Red would also be very cool. I already own a lot of grey but it still would be cool. Just don't do orange. I hate orange!
