Been doing mixed beginner WOD's since January. Around mid March I came down with a major cold that lasted several weeks preventing me from working out. Then after a 5 day vacation backpacking i came back home to discover i had shingles, and then allergy season attacked me. In the beginning of May it hit me one day that terrible back issues I've been having for the last 2 years were completely gone. Not even a hint of pain anywhere. No more problems sitting in an airplane for 5-6 hours. Cured completely.

I am wondering though if the forced time off allowed every thing to self heal and allow the newfound lowerback strength to kick in.

I don't know. If you're feeling better now I'll celebrate with you. But don't celebrate too much. Let's keep you healthy. Shingles, Allergies and back pain all mean missed workouts. No fun.
