That's awesome man, you won't regret it! I think you guys will definitely benefit from the mental preparation part of the course. That's something that I think is largely missed in other courses. Mentally preparing yourself to succeed.

Overall the thing I'm most impressed with about Rick is how much the guy really cares. Everyday he has been here he has stopped in and dropped some more knowledge bombs.. I do S&C for a local Basketball team. I was talking to him about it the other day. He came in this morning(with his flight leaving in a few hours, lol) and spent 90 minutes with me going over correct biomechanics for movement in basketball. Everything he said just made a lightbulb go off in my head. So simple, but not if that makes sense. Kind of like the biomechanics portion of the course. He makes everything really easy to understand, and it just makes sense to do it this way, because it's the right way.

Paulos,

Absolutely. We are already using it for movefastliftheavy.com (wfs). It'll transition over to CrossFit Fairbanks programming as well. The way Rick approaches S&C makes the most sense. And looking at videos of his athletes(powerlifting or an athletic sport), their abilities don't lie. Watching the agility and speed of some of his athletes is absolutely amazing. Most CF programs don't even use change of direction! I'd say that's important. Learning how to move your body correctly in athletic movements is vital.

Keep an eye on the movefastliftheavy. It's our more advanced program and the folks that follow it are in the gym 6 days a week banging it out. I expect HUGE things here in the upcoming year.

Awesome Kane,

You already had a strong gym, it will be VERY cool to see where we all are in a year on Rick's program.

I understand exactly what you mean by it being so simple yet not. This is off topic but I was a Physics major in college and I found it to be the same way. When you're listening to someone who knows their stuff inside and out, whether it be how to build an athlete with Rick or how to understand Physics with a genius professor. Everything makes sense while you're talking with them. Then as soon as they leave you're like, "Wait, WTF did he say?" HA!

It's a good problem to have though, plus Rick's accessibility makes it MUCH easier to digest. I talk with him at least once a week. And he's never not made time which is incredible.

I wanted a conditioning challenge today so I tried Filthy Fifty, and my time was 23:49...Phuck that sucked haha

for anyone thats taken the seminar,
Any guidelines on how to program a metcon/conditioning workout thats in line with this program. (i.e.- a general template that you follow )

I just do metcons on a separate day:

Day 1: DE Upper
Day 2: ME Lower
Day 3: Metcon
Day 4: Rest
Day 5: DE Lower
Day 6: ME Upper
Day 7: Metcon
Day 8: Rest
