I'm going to head to Asia in a couple months starting off in south-east asia, moving up into China and working my way towards India. I love good healthy food and I'm curious as to how others that have wondered through Asia have manged food wise to keep it healthy and dare I say paleo if that's at all possible. My percepetion is that most of the food eaten is rice and noodles or is at least served with a lot of it. Any tips or should I just throw the whole paleo idea out the window?

Well, that is interesting ! I'm going to Asia in 14 days for about 5 months and I'm in the very same situation with diet.

I'm looking forward to ideas and tips.

I spent about a year in Asia, mainly SE Asia and India. The food is delicious, especially in Thailand. There's gorgeous chicken dishes usually served with vegetables, I suppose you'd just leave out the rice or noodles and eat more fruit.

There's a lot of seafood too but I avoided it as the risk of getting upset stomach is higher. I haven't been to China so I can't help there.

I stopped eating the meat in India because of the poor hygiene, I ended up losing a lot of muscle (140Ibs 6'3" when I got home)as a result.

Avoid getting tap water in your mouth or eyes, that includes in the shower, brushing teeth, eating salad that's been washed in water, ice cream, ice cubes in drinks etc unless you're in Singapore which is fully westernized.
