Home Gym v0.1

Hi All

My gym membership runs out at the end of november, and they are asking for 900 to renew... which I think is crazy, so I've decided to build my own gym.

I'm going to pick the steel up today to build my own rack.

Sadly my garage is tiny, at around 8' x 10' ... so I'll be dragging stuff out to the driveway to workout

At the moment, I've got the funds to buy

20kg Olympic Bar
Bumper plates (2 x 20kg, 2x10kg, 2 x 5kg)
Build my own squat rack
Skipping/Jump rope

I'll also be doing running and road cycling to bring a bit of cardio into it. I'm also intend to buy a rowing machine when I can afford it.

Re: Home Gym v0.1

Right then, I secured a lot of used weights from a bloke at work for 200, which I didn't think was too bad.

I have:

4 x 20kg
2 x 15kg
2 x 10kg
2 x 5kg
2 x 2.5kg

Olympic Bar
EZ Bar (which I don't think i'll use)

I've bought some steel to build a squat rack also, so I'm hoping to weld that together this weekend.

Next up is the RX rope.
