Cleans and power cleans

I have a bum shoulder for going overhead so I've been working more on strength in the squats and cleans recently. I decided to take some video to see if you guys have any additional critiques in addition to what my coaches are telling me.

What I know of/see: I have a donkey kick that I'm working on, bar looks to be traveling out a bit

Let me know what you guys think.

Re: Cleans and power cleans

Looks like your basic form is solid. I'd get the neck more neutral. On the 205 looks like you came a little forward.

I'm not the best at Oly work, so hopefully my feedback with encourage the wiser ones to speak.

Re: Cleans and power cleans

You seem to bring the bar straight up off the floor your bar's too far away from you. You get to the knee and it goes up from out there. Bar has to come in toward you off the floor, should touch you.

Strong squat, I'd like to see you keep the bar close to the body in the 2nd pull and fully extend your hips. you look like your pulling with your arms.

Re: Cleans and power cleans

After watching it a couple times it looks like I need to pull my shoulders back before I pull off the floor. Should help with keeping it closer too, right?

Any other cues to keep it closer?

Re: Cleans and power cleans

?? huh.
I thought your setup was ok w/shoulders; lead w/chest, always good to keep your chest out/up (better cue than shoulders back is chest out/up, automatically tighten your back). Pull your knees back, pull the bar back into you with your lats at the same time. Should contact your thigh at some point.

Re: Cleans and power cleans

You and the bar are separate. Ya gotta come together and lift as one.

Everything looks alright but you need to bring the bar to you.
