3:10 Fran!

I have been doing endurance training lately to prepare for a Sprint Triathlon in early October with the occasional xfit WOD every now and again. However, today i needed something short and sweet with leg and core work so i decided to do Fran since i have not done it in a while. I ended up shattering my previous PR of 3:44 with 3:10 and probably could have broken 3 had i not done all the endurance training this week. I am pretty psyched about it and think it shows that my endurance training has increased my cardio and muscular endurance while maintaining my strength. I hope to shatter some other PR's during the Tri.

Brandon, congrats! Please elaborate on your training a bit. I have been stuck at a pr of 3:18 (which feels as close to death as anything I've ever done) for some time now.

Also, do you have the butterfly? I do not, and am wondering what difference that makes in one's time, all other things being equal?

Well my training now is mostly endurance stuff...biking, swimming, and running with interval days, long days, and then strength/xfit WOD days. Yes, i can butterfly and it makes a HUGE difference. I had the regular kip when i Pr'd last time. Get the butterfly down and i am sure you will break 3 min.
