Tito has not evolved at all and most of the talent in the UFC has passed him by.

X2. If they don't clear fighters with certain cuts (ex: Ken Shamrock), a skull injury would definitely not let Tito fight. Seriously, did he expect anyone to believe that one?!

Celio, what do you mean by "initial?" Are you talking about their first match up?

Speaking of purses, I was watching the post fight press conference. Koscheck got $70,000 for fight of the night and another $70,000 for sub of the night...and that's on top of his purse! Can you imagine getting $140,000+ in one night? I could live off that for five years!

Re: UFC 106 ORTIZ vs GRIFFIN 2

Matthew,

By "initial" I mean before bonuses. Griffin got paid $100.00 to fight whereas Tito got paid $250.00! The win bonus for their fight was $150.00 so Griffin ended up making as much as Tito, but only because he won!

Kosheck actually took home with him a quarter million that night . His initial purse was $106.00, plus he got another $140.00 in bonuses as you mentioned, so his total check that night was $246.00 Incredible how far the sport has come, which is a great thing.

I believe you mean one hundred THOUSAND dollars and two hundred fifty THOUSAND dollars, NOT one hundred dollars and two hundred fifty dollars. BIG difference.
