Hulu won't work unless you're in the US.

VLC player is also a good media player that will play anything.

CF is awesome.

Re: Learn something new thread...(Come Contribute!)

This is a great idea for a thread.
Guess where my main non-fitness passion lies.....

The Japanese have the same phobia of the number four that we do of the number thirteen, hence in Japan you will find missing fourth floors, apartment number fours, etc. This is because one of the Japanese words for four ('shi') is also a word for death.

Anyone who uses the word 'ninjas' is heinously wrong. Japanese has no different words for plural and singular, hence it is just 'ninja'. And if anyone says 'samurais', I will hunt them down.

Corned beef and strawberry jam don't work well in a sandwich together.

similarly, i THINK italians have a fear of the number 17. I dunno about you, but i'm just scared of prime numbers in general. Unnatural, i tell you!

it doesn't matter what the plural of ninja is, because pirates are better!

I feel like i should test your corned beef/strawberry jam experiment...but now i fear it.

Heresy!! Ninja are much better. Though I do like pirates... but they're not Japanese. And Disney won't ever make a film about ninja.

That's probably the correct approach.

Re: Learn something new thread...(Come Contribute!)

Probably common knowledge, but since I see al great many links posted as raw URLs..

In the text editor for this forum, where you compose your posts, you can post links inside text like this one here (WFS, just runs back to my WO log) by highlighting the selected text with your mouse pointer, in this case "the one here," and then click the little insert-hyperlink globe icon on the toolbar above. Paste in your URL, and then click "OK." The text box where you put the link defaults with the "http://" portion, so make sure you don't have that in there twice or your link won't work.

voila, embedded links.

1. You can add about 1oz of milk to your scrambled eggs, it will make them fluffy.
2. For those of you who don't diet, Ritz crackers, easy cheese, and "Louisiana" Hot sauce is incredibly tasty.
3. www.slacker.com (w/f/s depending on where you go) is a free online radio station website... you can search for artists... or by genres.
4. You can put styrofoam cups in just a small amount of gasoline to make a napalm like substance that is great for starting bonfires/burnpiles, especially when the wood is wet.
5. When pouring a beer from a can to a cup... open the can and turn upside down and place in the bottom of the cup... slowly pull upwards on the beer can and allow the beer to pull itself from the can... and wah lah... no foam.

On aluminum foil and syran wrap packages there are two areas at the ends of the box that are perforated. You push in on those two areas and it will hold the roll in place so it doesn't fly out of the box when you are pulling out the syran warp or foil. Also a bounty dryer sheet in your pocket will keep mosquitos away.

On the dryer sheet note, if you put it where the air comes in from your vents, your house will smell dryer fresh all day. Also on the back side of a fan, for those stinky dorm rooms.

this is amazing to learn...but will it attract other flying bugs of DOOM?

(like wasps and bees and things with stingers)
