Re: 30 day: burpee to pull up challenge (+2 a day)

nice james! way to keep it up.

I am actually really enjoying this challenge. i feel like these two moves together are a perfect compliment. Pushing the whole body up from the ground and then pulling the whole body up into the air.

today (18) + previous (72) = total (90)

that is up to you if your subs are ok. the challenge to me is a personal thing. so if you feel you put the effort forth then it's all good over here.

where did you find a #20 MB? i have looked all over. i was actually in murietta yesterday.

Crossfit Murrieta has a 'boot camp in the park' every Saturday, and Coach Ray brings out a ton of stuff for anyone who shows up to work with. He goes all out, laying out agility courses, slosh pipes, tires for sled pulls, medicine balls, kettlebells, some serious ropes (1.5, 2 and 3")... Check out crossfitmurrieta.com, and if you happen to be in the neighborhood some Saturday morning around 8 am come out and play!

Oh, and I'd say that the burpee + 20# MB thruster easily equals the effort of a burpee-pull-up for me... of course, thrusters are my personal nemesis, so I suppose it stands to reason. I'm gonna get caught up on these tomorrow after my heavy strength day, as a cool-down...

Yeah, I usually work out alone at the globo gym, but I do drop-ins at CF Murrieta when I can. You're only an hour away from me, but you're way closer to all the CF boxes down in San Diego and Oceanside! You ought to treat yourself to a few trips into an affiliate, just for the experience...

Re: 30 day: burpee to pull up challenge (+2 a day)

i have been thinking about going to the one in SD. oceanside is like 40 minutes from here and SD is only 20.

i used to go to the globo all the time but i keep finding it easier and easier to do the wod's at home. i hate tying up 3 stations at a globo and worrying that after i get back from my 800m run that the back extension machine is taken. i had a hard enough time supersetting there let alone do wod's. so the only time i go is for really heavy weight squats or deads and the rower.

Yeah, I'm supposed to ride 29 miles of trails tomorrow....I'll be sure to let you know how that debacle plays out.

Did 30 in 2:36
That was fast and fun (read: suckfest.) I'll hit up some more in a little bit.

my legs would be spaghetti (whole wheat & sprouted of course). but my real concern would be the saddle sourness. definitely let me know how that goes.

You literally ate, slept, and s*** burpups today.

that's cool you started to time them too. i figured once i got to 16 lets see what my pace is and if i can increase it or how far will it fall off by the end of the challenge. i am at like a 8 second pace. i did the 16 in 2:21, the 18 in 2:36, the 20 in 2:42 and the 22 today killed me at 3:07.
