Don't get me wrong, he is creative, fast, and has dominated the competition he has faced, but again, none were championship caliber.
He's faced some pretty tough opponents, and tore through them without a scratch.

Re: Ufc 87!!

My predictions:

Florian over Huerta (this one I feel pretty confident about)
GSP over Fitch
Lesnar over Herring

Re: Ufc 87!!

Huerta is game and has beaten very tough guys (Clay Guida is way underated and definately beat Tyson Griffin even tough he "lost" to a split decision), but Kenny will take this one...

I can't believe people are taking Lesnar over Herring....

Maia vs McDonald is also a sick fight.....I like Jason and know he is a Crossfitter but being from Brazil I am obviously pulling for Maia...it will be a great match regardless...

While Fitch is no walk in the park he is facing a GSP on the top of his game and that is a scary fought...GSP via destruction...

Overall it will be a great night...enjoy it everyone...

Why do you feel so confident about it?

I was really impressed with Florian's past couple fights. While I still think Huerta is very good, he is a notch below Florian IMHO.

But why? FLorian is a great fighter, but he has struggled before against some solid competition. Clay Guida is one of the toughest fighters around and can go toe to toe with anyone, and Roger basically walked through him, at the end of that fight, if you hadn't wacthed it, you would have no idea that Roger had been in a fight. I think if he walks through Kenflo pretty easily, then there needs to be some serious consideration for him being compared with Penn, Silva.

If he fights and beats BJ, then his name can be mentioned in the same sentence...

Until then - he ain't on par, IMHO

Re: Ufc 87!!

Picks: GSP, Florian, Lesnar, MacDonald, Gamburyan.

GSP is the man. Fitch is a damn tough opponent, but I see GSP ending this via TKO within 3 rounds.

Florian is ALWAYS underestimated, so it's not a surprise to hear everyone pick Huerta. But I'm going to give it to Kenny via submission in the third round.

I don't think Herring is good enough to stop the rampage that Lesnar will dish out like he did against Mir. I'm not a fan of either, so I don't really care either way.

I actually think Maia will be a tough match for MacDonald, but I think MacD is more rounded and versatile and will pull it off.

And Gamburyan ... I just like watching that guy throw down!

If he fights and beats BJ, then Bj doesn't deserve to be mentioned in his class. Lets not forget, BJ has lost in the UFC
