Ufc 87!!

I am so excited for this card.
If there is one guy to take GSP the distance, it is Fitch. I still think GSP is going to pull it out in a potential fight of the year.

But I am most excited for Huerta vs. Florian. I think Florian will pull out the victory, but these guys might upstage GSP and definately Lesnar.

Your thoughts??

Agreed, Jeff.

I am stoked for this card.

Fitch could be trouble, but if GSP looks anything like he's looked in his past 3 fights, it will be over quickly with a KO or submission.

Huerta is an animal - I remember watching the fight against Guida thinking, Clay Guida is about to kick his... oh, wait a second... WTF? holy $hit!

Yep - gonna be a great night of fights.

Re: Ufc 87!!

Jon Fitch is going to Boiler up and take GSP out. I just don't think St. Pierre's chin is that tough. Should be a great fight!

Brock Lesnar will dominate Herring. I don't want to hear about experience vs. inexperience blah blah blah. Lesnar will destroy Herring, bottom line.

I think "Ken-Flo" is a dead man walking. Yeah, he's decent fighter, but I don't think he's in the upper eschalant in the lightweight division. Huerta will end him in the first round, setting up a bout between Huerta and my man BJ Penn in several months.

Re: Ufc 87!!

GSP > Fitch (unanimous decision)
Lesnar > Herring (ref stoppage in 1st rd)
Florian > Huerta (tko in 1st or 2nd rd)

Re: Ufc 87!!

GSP, Huerta and Herring ... all winners on Saturday night.

This will be GSPs toughest defense I think, but he's just got so much going right now, he's at his peak. Fitch has to *hurt* him to win. He can't *beat* him, he has to take him out. If that makes any sense. I think the longer the match goes, the more it favors GSP outside of an early KO or submission, which is always a possibility... and one of the reasons I love watching MMA.

Huerta IS an animal, as posted above. He'll make short work of K-Flo I'm afraid, and Kenny's no bum for sure.

And I think Lesnar has a little bit to go before he takes out someone like Herring. I really think Keith will win, but then again, I'm an idiot.

Yeah, I think flying to Switzerland is worth missing a UFC PPV. Now, if it was a Randy/Fedor fight, I might have a different opinion!

Re: Ufc 87!!

DON'T FORGET ABOUT JASON MACDONALD!!!

He's the first fight on the PPV card against Demian Maia (or however its spelled). Remember he's one of us! Not only does he train with me here at SPARK, he also runs his own affiliate (PURE).

In his last fight after having his first camp doing CrossFit for his strength and conditioning he got a second round KO and was awarded Knock Out of the night!!! Fed his opponent a feast full of elbows.

Not bashing or anything, but just want to get this right. You think Roger Huerta is the best pound for pound fighter in the UFC?

Better than...

BJ Penn?
GSP?
Silva?
Forrest Griffen?

Come on now..... I like Roger, but sorry, not even top ten.
