Re: Wholesale Rubber Bumper Plates!

The rubber rimmed metal plates are garbage in my opinion. They crack, the rubber rim starts coming off. Mine were jacked up after less than a year of use.

Hah, same BS line I got from the slick salesman that sold me mine.

I would go with Glenn Pendlay @ store.wfwclub.com. He knows what up and has the best prices. I bought cheap bumpers when I started, both types of Gill Athletics crap, and like I typed, was replacing them less than one year later. A waste I regret...

Re: Wholesale Rubber Bumper Plates!

JD,

Check your facts before making a post!!!

The plates we manufacture are SOLID RUBBER!!!!!!

The plates you posted a quote on are Hampton Plates, which are sold at Wright Weight Equipment in Birmingham, Alabama. True we are owned by the same Iconic man of the fitness world, but Wright Rubber is its own entity.

In Good Health,

Re: Wholesale Rubber Bumper Plates!

I have a question.

Is the rubber by nature heavy enough to form these plates at the appropriate weight or do they contain any other materials to bring them up to weight?

Just curious.

Re: Wholesale Rubber Bumper Plates!

Has anyone purchased from Therubberman? I just put an order in for $550:
2/10#
2/15#
2/25#
2/35#
2/45#

Sounds like I should get the bar from Wichita Falls Weightlifting...

Re: Wholesale Rubber Bumper Plates!

My apologies to Jason, I just did a cursory search on his site and came to a haughty conclusion. Jason has informed me that the plates are indeed solid rubber. OPen mouth, insert foot (or keyboard I guess).

My apologies to wright & Jason.

Re: Wholesale Rubber Bumper Plates!

Just want to add that Jason provides great customer service during the ordering process. Will update when I receive the bumpers and test 'em out.

My understanding is that the bumpers are the same as sold through BFS, but at wholesale prices. Again, will update when I receive 'em (although the true test won't be for several years :-)
