Re: TUF 10 - heavyweights

Frankie looked great. Does he get Maynard next? Or winner of Guida/Florian?

Kimbo/Houston fight was a joke. Any legit HW will crush Kimbo. They seriously circled for over two minutes before a punch was thrown! haha

Jon Jones is a beast. They need to give him a real test is next fight.

Titties and McSweeney was actually a great fight.

Roy Nelson winning was not a huge surpride. The KO was, though.

I watched it in a bar in San Diego while attending the Oly Cert. The Alabama/Texas game was playing so they didn't have the sound on for 3/4 of the card. Great, free card.

Nope - it'll be Nate Diaz v. Maynard here in my neck of the woods next month. Already have my tickets!

I kept thinking what would have happened if Kimbo fought CroCop. He probably wouldn't have a leg left

Re: TUF 10 - heavyweights

If Marcus Jones could get some sort of standing up fighting, he'd be very dangerous. He's got a good ground game but he kept dropping his hands against Mitrione. He would've been knocked out sooner if he fought someone who know what they were doing standing.

Does anyone else love/hate the fact that Roy Nelson won? I love it because he showed that you don't have too look like a stud to be a figher but I also hated because now there's going to be a bunch of fat guys who think they can fight like Nelson.

What's sick is that Nelson showed MUCH better cardio then most of the other muscular guys in the house.

Re: TUF 10 - heavyweights

I'll give fat country this, he knows what he has to do to win. His mental game dominated everyone else, he didn't worry about how he won, just that he won.

However, I absolutely think he is a mediocre fighter. All this shows is that there are way too many fighters out there that only think that the guy that can hit the hardest or knows the coolest submission always wins.

I hope that people watched this season and saw that understanding your opponent and yourself is way more important than anything else.

Winning is Winning. And as a modern day philospher once said, No one asks "How?" They ask "How many?"
