Re: found out something interesting/disturbing this morning

What is the point of this thread? You found out a friend was taking steroids and decided to share it....?

I could give my opinion about 'roids but thats already been discussed on here a million times. And the conclusion...there isn't one. There are as many opinions on steroids as there are people.

Train hard and motivate yourself. Don't worry about what your friend does. Unless he comes to you seeking fitness advice, then why is it even of concern?

Re: found out something interesting/disturbing this morning

In NZ we dont have many young people that juice, but then again we dont have football either, thats probably half of it.

i hear where everyone is coming from saying that he probably shouldnt be sharing his friends private life in an open forum but im gonna throw my opinion out there anyway: its simple performance enhancers are bad straight up , if you are using them for sport then its cheating and you need to step back take a look at yourself and why you are risking ruining yourself by juicing up to get better at sport. just my opinion im sure it will be critisesed but its not gonna change

yeah right.... dude, you are so close to unregulated asian pharmacies its a given. YOu may not have american football, but you have alot of other sports and reasons for roid use. Young men just want to look big is reason enough... military men that want to be bigger and stronger to be a bad mofo... the reason pile up.

why would a political party want stronger anti doping laws if there wasnt a problem in the country?

Re: found out something interesting/disturbing this morning

ok but im just saying i think i have only ever even HEARD of one person at school that had experimented with it and that dude was apparently a wack job.

i know there are plenty of reasons and there are plenty of people that use, i used to see obviously juiced up bodybuilders at my old gym all the time (no i wasnt at an affiliate).

Just not many at school, you guys say that you are not surprised to hear people at school are juicing, i saw that and it shocked me thats all im saying.

Ferrigno, Ahnuld, Draper, and most of the other guys out of the late 60's -early 80's are still around, and they juiced.
Ahnuld has heart problems. Here's an oldie list and then below a newbie list.

Ray Raridon died
Don Long (kidney failure)
Tom Prince (kidney failure)
Flex Wheeler (kidney transplant)
Ed Corney (stroke)
Boyer Coe (heart)
Danny Padilla (heart)

62 Finnish power-lifters suspected of using steroids died at a rate five times higher than average.
List taken from various sources so there might be a repeat or two. And the list of Pro Wrestlers who have died before their time is just ridiculously long.

Just food for thought. If it don't kill you it'll leave you in pretty bad shape. *shrug*

In high school people tend to keep their steroid usage quiet. I found out later that a lot of my teammates in high school were juicing. I never knew back then, although in retrospect, the evidence was clearly there. Maybe only one guy in your school experimented with it, but chances are, many more use than you'd expect.

Re: found out something interesting/disturbing this morning

should have made it more clear. he plays baseball

and it's not shocking that college athletes take juice, obviously. it's shocking that my buddy who i have grown up with, played with, and trained with is all about them now. I've talked to him about it but like some of you said, it's his decision. Not much i can do about it when him and probably his whole team are juicin
