Looking for good gym tape

I've tried the Meuller stuff from Ithaca sports. It's fine, but not as good as this random roll I tried in the gym one time. The inside said "made in Canada" and that was the only distinctive marking it had. I just remember it was super smooth and didn't fray like other types.

Anyone have a type/source of tape that they really like. I'm a religious thumb taper for weightlifting. This is not for pull-ups or whatever.

Re: Looking for good gym tape

Could it be Renfrew tape? They've apparently made tape for decades, specializing in hockey tape - but here is one of their athletic tapes:

They make a bunch of other types of athletic tape too. And they're a Canadian based company maybe theirs was the tape you used...

Never used it before so I can't tell you if it is different from any other athletic tape.

good idea.

I don't think so though. all it said was "made in canada". No brand name.

Best deal on athletic tape I ever found was a guy on ebay ("misterhockey"). A couple years ago I got like 40 rolls for about $50 ... no shipping. He's still on there and has a bunch of different options ... lasted me quite some time; not certain on "brand"/mine just said "Made in America." Good quality.

Lately, though, I tend to go with a "pre wrap" for taping my thumbs.
