Collars for rogue axle?

Got an axle from rogue a few weeks ago and I can't seem to find any collars that fit. Everything is just slightly too big and slides off even with tightened. Have used lockjaw, and spring collars. Am I missing some other obvious option?

Re: Collars for rogue axle?

The one I bought from Rogue came with HG collars that work fine.

Hmmm. I have the old lockjaw pros from before they were called the hgs. Maybe they are a little different now. Thanks

Mine came with some spring collars. I usually use my old lock jaw and they seem fine.

Re: Collars for rogue axle?

Just went out there and looked at it. There was a small piece of wood caught up in the collar that was preventing it from closing the entire way. It was enough to be tight on a normal bar, but the slightly smaller diameter of the axle was enough to make it noticeable.

I'm good now. Thanks!

Re: Collars for rogue axle?

Greg

We use the HG Collars for all the axles, farmer's walks etc

We were having spring clamps made in Ohio but with the pipe OD fluctuating people were experiencing issues. The HG has enough clamping pressure to bite on the smaller OD pipe.

Hope that helps.

Bill

Re: Collars for rogue axle?

I really like the Proloc collars for just about anything. They stay on tight, are fairly easy to put on and off, and fit just about anything. The Prolocs do have the ability to clamp down and stand up to weight.

Agreed. And can't beat that price.

My favorite collars, however, are the collars from Hi-temp:
